The best part about this recipe is that it is ready in under 30 minutes! Perfect for a weeknight dinner! I never have any leftovers. Everyone cleans their plates and goes back for seconds. Add this to your menu. It is sure to be a hit!

Orzo is s a thin, oval, rice shaped type of pasta. You can find it in the pasta aisle at grocery stores.

How to Make One Pot Chicken and Orzo

This recipe is super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with garlic and herb seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until the chicken is golden brown. Add fresh garlic cloves and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in chicken broth and orzo pasta. Bring to a boil. Reduce to medium heat and simmer until the pasta is tender. Stir in fresh parsley and grated parmesan cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp garlic and herb seasoning
  • 2 -lb raw chicken tenderloins
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 Tbsp dried minced onion flakes
  • cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup orzo
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  • Season chicken with garlic and herb seasoning. Cut tenderloins into bite-size pieces.

  • Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet or Dutch oven. Add chicken and cook until golden brown. Add garlic cloves and onion. Cook for 30 seconds.

  • Add chicken broth and orzo pasta. Reduce heat and simmer over medium heat for 15 to 18 minutes, until the orzo is tender.
