My experience at Metropolitan Community College was not your normal college experience because it was a community college. There was no housing options on any of the campuses so everyone had to commute to class. This made it hard to connect with people at the school because the only time people would go to campus would be for classes. However, the lack of a campus life made it easier to solely focus on academics, while still having enough time to work as well. Many of my teachers were very knowledgeable about their classes and they would put together interesting lectures to make the class easier to handle.

This is a true community college in that they truly stick to their roots & give back to their city. Thats what I love about them. The school has provided a lot of wonderful resources for students to use such as, counselors, tutors, studying rooms, anatomy models, math labs, study groups for science classes, quiet rooms, & common areas. They have done a wonderful job of giving part time students & adult learners comfortable spaces to study in. If you're struggling in any area, it will be from your lack of not reaching out for them to try & help you. Also, try talking to the teachers you never know! Bumped into a professor outside of class I hadn't seen for a yr & she remembered me! She was the first professor to ever spike my interest in math & not make it so daunting for BSN classes. It's people like her & others there who have a love for teaching. Just like I have a love for the medical field, that makes this school special to our community; it's the passion to help lift up others.

Well, it was just community college. Overall it was a good experience I am planning on attending a different school in the fall but I kind of liked the setup of the school in general, all the professors I had were amazing and made a very positive learning environment. I would like to see some sort of actual cafeteria with food installed.
