What is the deal with Fionna and Cake? ›

Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake is a spin-off of Adventure Time, the latter of which follows the adventures of Finn the Human and Jake the Dog. This series follows Finn and Jake's gender-swapped counterpart, Fionna the Human and Cake the Cat.

Finn and Jake's alternate universe continues. Max has renewed YA animated series Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake for a second season. The spinoff of the long-running Cartoon Network series launched earlier this year.

Shermy is confirmed to be a reincarnation of Finn, which makes sense considering their similarities and the fact that Finn can resurrect when he wants and be another living being due to being an incarnation of the Blue Catalyst Comet.
