When we first arrived, the rooms were nice and clean, there was a lot of food for breakfast and the view from the balcony was beautiful, on first few days it was a perfect hotel and we wanted to book it in advance for next year. Then we started noticing the cleaners only changed the towels daily and wiped the sink and mirror every few days, thats all. The floor wasn't sweeped for almost 2 weeks, although it did sound like they moved the beds so I'm not really sure what they were doing, shower gel dispenser wasn't replenished after the previous guests and we ran out on third day, it obviously stayed empty until the end of our stay. The walls are so thin you can hear people snoring.Food was another issue, there was some variety but every day it was the same, cheapest stuff. Coffee was bland, half of the drinks were unavailable. The only good thing was the location, very close to the beach and bus stops, as well as some restaurants. In my opinion it was not worth the price. Very disappointed.

We just came back from holiday and that is sad. Hotel may have 3 stars but deserves more. Location great - close to shops if you have to buy anything and about 3 min from the beach. Staff is fantastic, food absolutely awesome, we even skipped eating outside hotel because guys from kitchen are awesome! Place is clean, rooms are cosy, pool is nice. We plan to go back sometime soon!

Linda Miles

Would not recommend this hotel..Extremely dissapointing, but I had to keep reminding myself that its only 3 star.Staff pleasant.Entertainment for adults rubbish. Ok for children.Room ok and clean butno tea and coffee facilities. No English TV channels.Food very poor and badly presented, overcooked and undercooked, but OK if you like Spanish salad. Deserts dreadful. Little choice. We eat out most of the time.Alcoholic drinks cheap and extremely poor quality. Will not be returning.

Arrived today, hotel generally looking a bit tired but staff and service are first rate, food was OK early pleanty of choice, more to follow later in holiday, location superb!

Ash

Decent place for a cheap holiday close to local bars and marina.. food wasn't great no kettle or fridge in rooms air con kept playing up clean place for what it is decent entertainment at night pool is ok closes at 6:30pm full of pigeons in day time don't leave you alone also noticed alot of s w ingers which they was flaunting there business 🤢 maybe return one day in future didn't post my first review as I was telling truth

Great hotel right on the beach in the quieter part of Fuengirola. The food is astounding. I am gluten intolerant and they have separate menus for GI people and every food in their buffet has symbos indicating the type of allergen they contain making choices easy. Very enthusiastic entertainment staff and the archive of rooms and restaurant was superb.

Second time in Gardenia after fantastic experience last year. Both times the service, accommodation and food has been absolutely brilliant. For the price, they're punching above their weight. The great design of the building means no rooms face away from the coast. The rooms are simple, comfortable, light and airy - each with it's own balcony. To head into Fuengirola you just jump on one of the local buses, 15-20 mins and you're there. For the hotel itself, most impressive is the constant hard work and care of the staff. Even at the busiest times, no reasonable request is too much trouble. Thank you Gardenia, look forward to more visits after this one 😊😊😊🌞🌞🌞👍👍👍

Great hotel for the money we paid. We were all inclusive food was OK could have been warmer, but you could always find something to eat. Rooms spotless towels changed every day, plenty of sunbeds staff really friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want value for money.

Peter Carpenter

This is a three star hotel so don't base your expectations on four or five star places, having said this it is a top quality three star. Rooms are exceptionally clean and the cleaning staff keep the whole hotel in that condition. The food is plentiful and varied and very well presented, the staff are friendly, attentive and the hotel is well positioned for visits to the beach and town. We enjoyed our stay and would have no issues about returning again.

Great position right on the beach , card only hotel no cash till you need to hire a hair dryer then you need to go get cash out? Rooms and whole hotel spotless , could do with a kettle in the rooms tho .

Amazing service! The staff is super friendly and polite, love how quick witted they are as well. The hotel facilities are great, the rooftop is the most enjoyable place to hang. Leaking in the toilet is a bit disturbing, but other than that everything is fine. Worth the stay!P.S. off-shift staff are a different kind of staff though lol, so don’t be surprised

Sharing my stay experience at this hotel:1. Arrived 1ish pm and informed that room not ready (its ok since check in time is 2pm). However, they allocated room number 3xx for me and my family. I signed a form for that then we went out for lunch.2. Arrived back at hotel around 5pm. Receptionist informed us room will be available in 10mins. Waited more than 10mins, asking many times, no confirmation. After we waited and kept complaining at the front desk, room available at 7pm.What make things worst: not a single sorry from hotel staff, not even once ! They told us why dont we waited, why came to hotel very late, and some other non-sense statement. The the day after we asked for 2hrs late check out which they rejected and only allowed us till 1pm ( regardless we enter the room 5hrs late)At room, we asked for one extra towel, i repeat ONE piece of towel, they rejected since they said hotel policy not allowing extra towel. At breakfast, this lady who write down our name and room number, no greeting no smiling at all. What an unique experience, which i dont want to repeat :)

All staffs are nice, especially mita ( I hope I remember her name correctly).Stayed in room that air on is not so cold, and even you cranked up the thermostat.Reported to Mira at receptionist and she help me to send technician to checked the unit and later gave me new room.Location wise, right in middle of bypass, not so convenience if you don’t have car or rented bike/vehicle, sometimes online transportation could be hard to get.Room is not as advertised on website, but overall I’m happy with the condition, cleanliness and facilities.Food wise; it’s good enough for me.

Linny N

Mixed thoughts on this Hotel.Booked a non smoking deluxe room for 3 people on Arrival was given a twin room facing a wall, which smelt very smoked. They were very nice in moving us to another room, but when I asked about the bed for the third person was told I had to make an additional payment as it was not showing up on the confirmation. The bathroom and shower had splatters of black paint everywhere, looks very unprofessional and the room had a lot of dust in obvious places. The reception AC is always off , I don’t why they choose to make guests suffer like that. The star of the this hotel is the roof top pools , although the day beds needed some washing .

Yadi S

Good things first :-- Staff were the best part. They were very hard working and accommodating. Always greeted with a big smile.- it wasn't overly expensive and was value for money.- food was good ( except breakfast buffet, extremely limited)Not so great things :-The photos on the websites are deceiving. The rooms are tiny, small bathroom and toilets. The location isn't close to anything. You will have to travel using a cab or a scooter. The gym is super tiny.

Perfectly located to access the sea front and bars and restaurants all close by. Tasty breakfasts were served with tea included in price. Apartment was clean and functional and staff were friendly and helpful. We're already planning our 3rd visit of the year. Thanks to the management and staff and looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

I stayed at Apartamentos Doramar for three nights from February 12, 2024 with my wife.My impressions are very, very positive. You receive a complete apartament and it gives you the feeling of home. A bedroom and a seating area with a large sofa, a dining table with four chairs, and a smaller table opposite the sofa. This space contains a small kitchen equipped with all the necessary utensils, including a small refrigerator, and a separate bathroom. Everything is clean. The place is close to the beach, only a few minutes away, and the surrounding area has all the necessities, and the main street and transportation buses are less than a hundred meters away. The staff is calm, courteous, and accommodates all normal requests. A taxi can be requested through the administration staff, at competitive prices, and it will arrive within minutes. The stay was very comfortable, and I would like to say thank you to the nice staff.I would definitely recommend it to others, and if I return to visit the place, I'll be lucky to find a vacant spot.

My first time staying here at will definitely be coming back... at the moment there is some building work but this did not effect our stay. The staff of pleasant and go above and beyond to help. We already booked to go back next yearThe rooms are clean spacious and everything is there what u needOrdered us a taxi to airport when needed

Tania Lahti

The perfect location. The rooms aren’t that tidy but if you require a place to sleep with a good location, this is the place to be, good service, great location, the best hotel bar around. Pilar at the reception is an absolute gem! The hotel has a small pool and great bar that serves all the British dishes you need, with a great karaoke bar. No complaints and we will go back!

Lucy E

Pleasant and helpful staff, out dated but clean and nice rooms, close to beach and harbour. My only complaint is the noise. If you want to sleep before 3am do not stay here. There’s a karaoke bar that stays open til 2am but people are lingering and being extremely loud for at least another hour. Other guests slam doors at all hours, shout and sing loudly, bang around doing god knows what. Perfect for party holidays but not if you’re here to sight see and enjoy a relaxing break. 3 nights of very minimal sleep which is a shame as this place could be great.

We had a great holiday here. The hotel was perfect, good sized room, clean and right on the beach. Lots of restaurants and shops around. The pool was lovely and loads of space and beds. The entertainment team were amazing, they knew all the kids by name straight away and got them all involved in the activities during the day. They were the real highlight for my 8 year old she is still talking about them to everyone.

Beth Phelan

We had an excellent stay here. A large group of 43 people and we were always accommodated. Raul and Adrian on animation were great and made our time very enjoyable!

Sam Dee

Fabulous location on the border of Benalmadena. Steps away from the beach and lots of shops and supermarkets close by. My room was modern with a new low level shower and kitchenette. The only negative thing is the kitchen isn’t well equipped and as someone who prefers to cook I went to Xu to buy a colander, tea towel and a large spoon. I also needed washing up liquid and a dish cloth. If I had have been sure that they would be left for the next people I would most happily have donated.Otherwise I had a fabulous stay and would definitely choose again

This is a fantastic place to stay. Rooms are clean, staff is very helpfull and friendly. You can even take a shower in a.seperate room when you have to leave your room at 12 but your flight is at night!. Cleaning staff very friendly, great activities for kids. Shows in the evening. Large pool and lots of beds. We certainly will return here!

Good Hotel, central location, decent breakfast buffet.Rooms floor not hoovered nor cleaned at all. Only towels and bed sheets were changed when dirty. Which is a good thing. No kettle in the room and you have to rent it for the duration of your stay.Aside from that the hotel is good, the swimming pool is nice, and the terrace is beautiful and clean. Staff are all friendly and helpful. With just a little more effort this hotel can be much better. Keep up the good work.

Claire

Just home after a wonderful weeks stay in this beautiful hotel. From check in to check out I couldn't fault it. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive to our needs. We only had bed and breakfast, the breakfast was very nice with loads of choice, hot and cold. The pool/bar area was clean with plenty of space to sit and relax, although the pool was cold, which was disappointing. My room was comfortable, stocked with a fridge, hairdryer and TV, however I couldn't get English TV but I was worried. The room didn't have a kettle but you could hire one for €12 the week. The hotel had entertainment every night and a rooftop bar with amazing views of the coastline and surrounding area. There were lots of bars and restaurants along the seafront front and a very yummy ice-cream shop about a 5 minute walk area. The hotel is close to a lovely beach with access to lounger chairs. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are thinking of visiting and I would certainly visit again. Thank you for a wonderful holiday

Conor

This hotel is in a very good location right on the beach. It is clean enough and the rooms are adequate and a little dated. Don’t book half board if you can help it. The food is not great. Cold and greasy.Staff need to collectively go on a customer service course. Only one member of staff (name escapes me) was nice. I left my sun bed to go to the pool bar to get a drink and the guy at the pool removed my towel from the bed. When questioned he told me to be quiet and listen to him! He then said it was company policy if you left your sunbed for ANY reason you would loose it. When I asked to speak to the hotel manager regarding this, I was advised she was too busy to speak to me by a member of the reception staff. Terrible customer service .

Manjit Chaal

Good location as front sea view hotel is very clean, but bed was uncomfortable and noise coming from outside.Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was cold and not good selection of food specially if you are vegetarian, even not much fruit selection to eat. Hash brown was burned most of the mornings. Orange juice always turned in brown colour. Roof top bar is on nice location and beautiful view but drink is quite expensive as pineapple and coconut juice£6.

Gary O'Grady

Right on the beach and close to shops, pubs and restaurants. WiFi available.I had a single room with balcony faxing the pool area and beach. Perfect for my needs.Breakfast was choice of hot and cold buffets.I was there 4 nights. Great value. Recommended .

In the middle of a lot of the local bars and restaurants and just across the road from the beach, the hotel is perfect for location, apart from the fact there's no underground car park and no concession with the public car park about 400 metres away. The rooftop pool is really special, with a bar there, of course! The one fly in the ointment is the rooms, or more specifically, the toilets in the rooms. They're sooo close to the wall that it's difficult to use them comfortably .Other than this, it's a great place and the price is pretty good to

Julie J

I’ve actually deleted my other review as I was too generous. The hotel facilities itself are fine e.g rooms and breakfast. However the staff are the rudest people I have ever met. The cleaners are the only friendly people. It’s a shame the ones getting paid more are rude and lack any human skills. The cleaners have the skills to deal with people, not the receptionists or bar staff. The hotel likes to make up stupid rules, you can’t leave the hotel through the sliding door by the bar you HAVE to leave through the main entrance. The pool lacks Sunbeds and there’s not enough space for the amount of people staying at the hotel. We arrived at 11 (when pool opens) to find people had reserved Sunbeds with towels, which we were told off for doing. There were no Sunbeds in the sun so we sat on the chairs by the side of the pool to be told by the rude barmen we have to where clothes to be sat on those chairs. When I asked if we could move the last two Sunbeds available out of the shade, he said “no not possible”’yet 2 other people came along and moved them without asking, he didn’t say anything or care. He was so rude and spoke back to me and down at me.The manager needs to consider hiring a whole new team.

Clo F

Will never be staying here again, I was staying in a twin room with my friend but their was barely any room to pull the beds apart so I kept having to put the bed back to access my clothes in the wardrobe the room was that small. The first morning the maid constantly rang the door bell at around 09:15 to clean the room, I said I was still sleeping and I told them not to ring the door bell for the duration of my stay unless i inform them I wanted my room cleaning, the second day she rang the door bell at 10:00 which I was awake but was constantly pressing the door bell to gain access to my room and even attempted to get in before I told her to stop the 4th day I was out and my friend woke up to the maid stood at the end of the bed shaking his leg telling him to wake up!!!!! The lifts were sending me to the incorrect floor. I leave tomorrow and I can not wait, the rooms are small, the shower is a partial frosted glass in the bedroom area so I could only have a shower when my friend was out. Next door to us have rang our bell 3 times now complaining the TV is loud despite the volume being extremely low. The air conditioning doesn’t work very well and is extremely loud so me and my friend have hardly had any sleep. Please get me out of here it’s ruined my holiday. I really do not like complaining but did queue up twice to get various things corrected but the reception desk is short staffed and I was waiting 30 minutes plus in the queue so gave up. I tried using the sky bar and it was closed for a function which i was not told at the time of booking- the only reason I paid extra for a hotel with a pool was to use it. Also there are ants coming out of the sink. The location is good as it’s in the middle of everywhere and right near the sea but I definitely will never ever be staying here or in another branch of these hotels ever again.

Wayne Edwards

Rooms were not great at all , toilet was designed for a midget , shower was OK but no privacy at all & the beds were terrible. Pool Bar was terrible , rude staff & not a hope of getting anywhere near a sunbed which incidently were shut really early (as we found out after getting a bed for 5 minutes)you was also asked to get off in a rude manor. Location is great right next to looky looky man alley sorry fish alley. All in all disappointing

John Holt

In a great location and had a brilliant sea view. The rooftop bar is very good. However, there are issues with air conditioning not working properly, making the room too warm.

This is a modern hotel located just outside the centre of Fuengirola. Thus far it is the best hotel where I have stayed in the town. There is a good size swimming pool and lounge area with a convenient bar.As the season progresses there is also a sky bar which is open in the evenings.Breakfast is available at €8.The rooms are well equipped and spotlessly clean but suffer from the curse of so many Spanish hotels. Thin walls. A tea and coffee tray would be a welcome addition. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within easy reach. The beach is about a five minute stroll.Staff are universally helpful. Many will think that it's worth to pay just a bit more to stay here and enjoy their time.

Marc W

Good budget hotel. Definitely worth the £38 a night I paid. As others have mentioned there is no sound proofing between the rooms so it can be very loud. Also cleaning is a bit hit and miss.Great location only a few minutes away from the beach.

Mick Fairclough

Had a very nice stay in the Veramar in April 2024. The hotel is very nice and is clean. Rooms are comfortable and quiet.Location is very good also, within 10 minutes walk of beach, centre and Mirimar shopping centre

Yvonne MacKay

A good Aparthotel in Fuengirola. Easy to find but very difficult to find anywhere to park in surrounding streets,so would be wose in high season. We paid for on site parking which is very limited. Excellent warm welcome from friendly staff. Room itself was a good size and more than adequate for our needs. Bathroom small but good quality with a good shower. Small ish balcony but plenty room for table and 2 chairs. Roof bar wasn't opening till the day we leave. Pool area with a decent number of sunloungers was well looked after. All in all excellent value for money

Dominique

Great for a quick stay room was small but had what was needed perfectly centred place and Great things to do all good in walking distance

Hotel is in Torrequebrava - NOT in Benalmadena so you need a car or be OK to use buses. The pool area is lovely & clean. The reception area is also nice.My room was on the 10th floor and was a good size. Twin beds and a balcony with a sea view. The bed was nice & comfy and the towels were fluffy. The bathroom was tired & needed updating.... no bath, but a walk in shower. The shower pressure was poor.... it was difficult to rinse my hair.Overall, a nice hotel - if you don't mind being way out of the centre.

Laura Casaiz

We were a large Erasmus group and the experience was perfect. The hotel is located in a great spot, having the beach just 2 min walking by and with awesome beach views from the balcony. The service people were always kind and professional, ready to help when needed, and the people at the kitchen and cleaning staff were incredibly nice with us, always chatting with a smile and taking care of us. The dorms were cleaned and tidy up every day, and there's a disco bar inside that allowed us to play our music if we wanted to. Absolutely recommended for a good holiday trip or an international event

Logan Woodburn

Room very clean, comfy beds, brilliant veiw of the ocean, bad things could do with a drying rack in room for hanging wet clothes on and a kettle, no way of locking balcony door so not safe for little ones as we are on the 11th floor.Location, although very beautiful buses are needed for any shops or amenities, the nearest supermarket is 20-30 minute walk.

A

I have stayed at this hotel 5 times, starting in 2019. I always return to this hotel because of the location and the amazing views. However, the hotel itself is not good. I like the spacious apartments and I like that they have a laundry room. They have a gym, but you have to get the keys to use it and I don't think anyone cleans it. It has a musty smell since the equipment is never wiped down after clients use it.I feel like the last 2 times I have stayed at this hotel, the bedroom smelled like sweaty gym socks. They probably don't wash the blankets between clients and/or they never wash the pillow or get rid of them even when they look dirty like one of the pillows in the room I stayed in during my last visit.Parking hasn't been an issue in the past because they have a carport, an area in front of the hotel, and a garage. I have been able to park in all of these areas in the past with no problems and for free. However, this time, they refused to allow me to park in front of the hotel even after I told them the carport was full. They said the front was for people who are hándicap. There are designated hándicap parking and a bunch of other parking spots that weren't designated for hándicap parking and were not occupied. I then asked if I could park in the garage and they said it was 8€ per night. The guy who answered the intercom told me if the carport was full and I didn't want to pay for parking that I should park on the street. Why would I illegally park on the street and risk getting towed or my vehicle getting hit? This made me question if he was discriminating against me as a Black person, especially since my hair was covered while I was trying to check in.A year ago when I stayed at this property, there were 2 floors where the lights in the staircase were not working. I told someone about it and it was never fixed before I checked out in January of 2023. During this visit in January 2024, the same two floors had lights that weren't working on the staircase. This is a problem because I took the stairs all the time and I almost fell because I couldn't see where I was going. That is why I reported it to the front desk staff back in 2023. A year later and no one decided to fix it? That's just ridiculous. In 5 years, nothing has improved in the hotel except they removed the shelf that had brochures with activities and replaced it with a TV that plays ads and info.Customer service has always been subpar, but I tolerated it in the past because I wanted to stay in a familiar place, but this stay is my last stay at this property when I am in Benalmádena.

Agnieszka

I liked absolutely everything about the hotel but the most the staff! Everyone was extremely nice and polite :) my room had an amazing view, sunsets were like a miracle! Rooms were very clean. Food was also very good, a lot of different choices also including many seafood. I will definitely be back and I reccomend to Everyone 🩷

Hotel/ apartment building. The rooms are pretty nice. They have kitchenette and laundry in the room. Location is good close to the beach and night life.Pros:room size , 2 beds and pull out couch, kitchen , balcony may have view of water. Close to grocery store. Price seems fair.Cons: bed is very stiff may be normal for Europe, pillows are very thin, parking is paid daily and no refunds. You must get rid of your trash on last day and walk to a dumpster off the property. We came for a golf trip it served its purpose but wouldn’t stay here for pleasure travel.

Nice hotel will well equipped rooms and good view, pets are allowed, so not for everyone, would definitely stay there again.

Decent room - bit dated. Pool being renovated- be lovely once complete. Staff quite friendly.

Very good but misleading picture online making you think there is a bar when there isn't. Should have been instructions for domestic appliances. Also wasn't impressed when we were charged extra for a balcony with all day sun...it was November and place was quiet. Or that they wanted €200 refundable deposit which I hadn't been informed about.

Great location at quieter end of benalmadena. Good views of mountain & sea from 7th floor. Pool closed in winter. Would recommend west facing side to get evening sun. Our apartment on 7th frequently suffered from cooking smells transferring through the air vents from other apartments, eg strong onion & garlic when we hadn't cooked anything.Nice & quiet with plenty of good eateries of all types tapas bars, restaurants & cafes. Serviced by plenty of bus routes & shops, mercadona around the corner

Very close to train station and walk away from beaches. The room was good and we had lovely balcony, with everything you might need in kitchen and good size bathroom.

Not a very nice place. Location is okay (right next to Torremuelle station) and staff were friendly. But the actual place was a right dump. Rooms were hot and stuffy, air conditioner was temperamental. Beds creaked like crazy also.Kitchens were dirty and poorly-equipped - only one knife, two plates (one of which had a huge crack on it), no washing up liquid, no sponges. You need to ask for a kettle from reception for some reason. We didn't spend any time by the pool, but from what we could see, there were very few deckchairs and the pool was tiny.Basically this hotel needs a good injection of money, to properly supply each room with basic utensils and crockery (it is a self-catering place after all) and tidy the whole place up. Right now it's just a dirty, run-down hole.Only reason I've given 2 not 1 is down to the staff, they were friendly and welcoming. That was the only good part about this place. I will not be staying again :(

Had a great break here last week, very handy for airport as train stops opposite. Nice apartment spacious and clean. Pool and bar serves food. Very relaxed and nice scenery and hiking! English school below it were children in cute uniforms play at break times.

This hotel has a lot of potential. The train station is a stone's throw away, the beach is a short walk away, the views are breathtaking, and the weather is incredible. However, with all that being said I would still not recommend this hotel to anyone.I booked a week here with my wife and son, as a nice cheap getaway. Now when you book a hotel, even a cheap one, you expect a certain level of service and facilities to be provided. We arrived at this potentially great little hotel, only to find they would not be providing a bed for our 6 month old son, a bed we had paid for and they had been aware about. The only comment we received was that they have no beds, and they will see what they can do. Our first night our son had nowhere to sleep. The next morning I approached the sleeping subject again, only to hear they would see what they could do yet again. Giving them the benefit of the doubt yet again, I allowed them several hours to source a bed for my young son to sleep on. When I went back to ask if a solution had been found, I was told that there were no beds for my son and that the manager was in a meeting and won't be back until the next day. I asked further what I was meant to do for sleeping arrangements for my son, and they said maybe tomorrow they will have a bed.For anyone who has a child or baby, you know that a few hours without sleep can be torture! The lack of care and effort for the staff at the hotel here was appalling, you would expect them to try and do something to make your stay here enjoyable. Instead what I found were employees more interested in a smoke break and coffee break than in doing their actual jobs.In the end I decided to try my luck on a wild internet search, to see what could be done. Within 3 hours, and €50 out of my own pocket, I managed to find a company who would deliver a travel cots and mattress to the hotel for me. The fact that a visitor to an area could find sleeping arrangements for a child quicker than the locals and staff is beyond me.I would not stay at this "hotel" again, and I would highly recommend anyone else to avoid this place. Calling it a hotel is an insult to hotels, it is quite possibly closer to a hostel. The bare minimum is provided if you are very lucky, and if you are unlucky not even that.I am however giving this a 2* review as I do not believe that it is all on the hotel however, a note to the manager/owner - invest in better staff and your hotel and you would have a fantastic hotel here.I attach a picture of our receipt for the travel bed as evidence that this is not a made up story.

Kaine McGarrigle

First of all, bit far from everything. It's a god sending that there is a train station at your doorstep. Staff are ignorant, some friendly right enough. No kettle or toaster in room, we were givenue false hope that we would get one. Ended up we got one 2 days later. Bar could've stayed open longer as it shuts at 7pm. Sofa bed was uncomfortable as you had springs digging into you. Apart from that the rooms were decently clean.

This hotel shouldn't be 3 stars. That's a lie, very tiny room. My window was next to the other room toilet. You have to leave the curtains closed all the time, the hotel is old and tired, beds no good at all, the only good thing about this hotel is the location and food, the rest is a let down.

Tomas Garcia

The rooms although big… they are quite basic with no decoration what so ever. The AC will not work… unless you go to the reception to tell them to turn it on. They will say that the breaker probably jumped and then they’ll turn in on. Otherwise they won’t say nothing and you’ll stay without AC all night.NOT THE BEST PLACE TO STAY.

Gary Darley

Rooms very basic but clean. Didn't really receive much service so can't really comment on that. Check in fairly quick to say there was 12 of us with 6 different rooms. Location is good as right next to train station and the main square

Admin

2 minutes from the metro, quiet but yet smack bang 8n the centre of town. Spotless.

Small hotel... very central good for venturing out to explore.. Room was basic.. clean.. no balcony fridge or view to speak of. And +€3 for the safe daily. But it served as a base. First time in torremolinos .. Would not stay there again as I need more from my room and for 3 stars I thought it might be a little better.. but cheerful hidden little place and if you are good with minimal then this is a good place to start your hols.. PS awesome little coffee shop for breakfast treat 10 yards from the door

Friendly and efficient reception staff so welcoming . Room spacious with all you need great now to have a washing up pack with essentials. We loved our few days here. The pool area is amazing and clean . This was our 2nd visit. Will definitely consider booking again next year 😃😃. Apartments are short walk to train shops restaurants and the beach.

Have stayed here 3 times usually during the summer and my 4th stay will be in January 2024! The rooms are a decent size and you get everything you require for self catering, Mercadona underneath has everything you need with good prices. Swimming pool can get busy especially August but thats the summer holidays for you.Its a 5 min walk from Los Boliches train station and around 10 mins to the beach.I love visiting Funengirola and will probably always stay at Nuriasol, if you want more modern apartments and closer to the beach, you will have to pay more than double what Nuriasol charge.

Bernie Carey

My wife and I have stayed here about 7 times over the past 10 years, I'm surprised to find I haven't written a review! Rooms are clean, staff are always helpful, location in Los Boliches is excellent, 5/10 minute walk to the beach, bars and restaurants.Supermarket down the street! 10 min walk from train station. Highly recommend it and we're back again end of May for 17 nights. And a number of relatives now book it as well on our recommendation. I believe the pool is getting an upgrade end of May, beginning of June so....

The apartment complex is lovely with a big swimming pool downstairs. It’s on perfect location with the bars and restaurants beach nearby and also a grocery store down stair’s perfect place for getting your food and drinks I the rooms in the apartment are clean I definitely recommend staying here

Sarah Barnes

Location is fantastic with a short walk to the beach front with plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is dated and could do with a complete revamp, at the moment the pool is under construction and not in use. This is not communicated to you at the time of booking direct with the hotel. The staff are lovely and very friendly.

Brilliant hotel. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We had a one bedroom apartment on the 5th floor. It wasn't as big as we thought it would be but it was big enough! For those who want to prepare meals there's a microwave and 2 hob rings, a kettle and a toaster. The hotel has entertainment during the evening. We listened whilst sat on the balcony with a cuppa!!It cost us €26 to hire the safe. The hotel is a nice 5 minute walk away from the beach and castle. It took us a leisurely hour to walk to the port. The Mirimar Shopping Centre is right on the doorstep and if the Carrefour supermarket hasn't got it then you don't need it.The number 1 bus stops right outside the hotel. Flat rate fare of €1.20 will take you into town.Lovely pool area, plenty of sunbeds and a very nice cafe.We would definitely recommend the Fuengirola Beach and will be returning 😀

We (2 adults & 2 late teens) spent 5 nights over New years here. The rooms are basic but a good size. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is a bit out of town, but it's a nice walk or bus stop right outside the door. Nice shopping center to the rear with a good supermarket and restaurants. Would recommend

Rob Churchill

For us great location as we like walking. However local buses available outside the front door roughly every 30 minutes. Large shopping, cinema complex less than 4 minute walk away.We were self-catering therefore cooked chicken available from Carr 4 across the road. Last week of our holiday we found out their is a happy hour at the bar early evening.

Kevin Crowley

Lovely spacious and very clean hotel. Staff are very friendly and the food is really nice. Only stopped here for 1 night passing through but everything was perfect and there's also a huge shopping centre right next door for anything needed.

We love the location of this hotel and have stayed here 4 times now, first time of breakfast couldn’t fault plenty to choose from, on site pool fab can get busy on the loungers but we never didn’t get out to the pool, plenty of food places to eat away from the hotel. Hotel room we had a one bed apartment - plenty of room, updated shower, air con, mini kitchen. Only downside is next time we stay we won’t be wanting the lower floor rooms that back onto the pool - on a night time there are two clubs (for men) which wasn’t really for my kids eyes when sat out on the balcony which isn’t the hotels fault - they can’t control the clubs in the vicinity. Everything is great about the hotel, staff are so friendly and helpful and the daily cleaners that we saw were super. Will be back again later this year hopefully

Darren Walsh

Lovely place with a great breakfast offering. You can't ask for a better location. As I was golfing on my week, maybe the hotel could start breakfast a little earlier as 8am is a little late. Overall, it was a great stay

If I could give 0 stars I would unfortunately I can’t. Our experience at hotel PYR significantly ruined our time here in Fuengirola. The hotel beds were awful and crippling that my back was in pain due to the lack of support from the bed.On our last night in the hotel we had to deal with the most selfish and inconsiderate next door neighbours who had no regard for anyone else except themselves. They were very drunk and obnoxious, speaking at loud volumes and laughing hysterically at 3AM. We called reception to inform them of the disturbance. The first time they sent someone up to tell them to be quiet. After that the people next door began speaking even louder and banging on our wall while laughing as if it’s a joke to them. We called reception the second time as it was absolutely ridiculous having to deal with such immature and inconsiderate behaviour. Reception said they would deal with it but nothing was done as the people next door continued talking and laughing loudly. At this point we were very upset and annoyed as this was absurd. We called reception the THIRD time and still nothing had be done. The noise persisted till 6 in the morning. We had an early flight to catch and were extremely sleep deprived at that point so we had no choice but to endure it.We’re extremely disappointed in the way the staff handled this situation. It’s such a shame as we stayed in this hotel previously when we were in Fuengirola but this will be the last time we’re staying here. The lack of action from the staff and care for their customers is appalling. They treat it as if it’s a common thing that happens and we should just deal with it.If you do plan on staying at this hotel, bear in mind you’ll be dealing with a crippled back due to the bed and incredibly loud noises from drunk people.

Simon Lee

The staff were helpful and friendly, but I can’t say I felt staying here was great value when I think of what I could’ve got for just a little more down the road. The 1st floor room had a decent bathroom, but the rest of the place felt “cheap and cheerful”. The glass divider at the end of the balcony was cracked, the decor felt like it was built to withstand potential damage rather than be aesthetically pleasing and the view half overlooked a wall that the pool area sat on top of. I’m pleased I was only staying one night. If you do stay here, I hugely recommend insisting you have a room on a higher level to avoid having a balcony that feels like you’re living in a basem*nt flat.

Mary Kendrick

WiFi poor and unreliable. They cleaned our hotel room every day. Very noisy at night but not the fault of the proprietors. Older but well maintained.

While this hotel is centrally located in Marbella, the rooms are not as they appear in the photos and the service was also more than disappointing. I check into El Faro with my son, who has a serious chronic health condition, and found our non smoking room smelled terribly of smoke triggering a significant asthma attack in my son. I called the concierge while my son waited on the balcony and the concierge conceded that there was a bad smell but insisted it was only paint- as a former smoker myself I can recognize the smell of stale smoke in a room. He offered us the only other available room but that too smelled strange and had the same low quality bedding and feel so we opted not to stay. Having made the reservation through a third party vendor we needed a letter from the hotel indicating we had not stayed there in order to recoup the payment for the 3 nights we had booked. Although I was told by two different hotel employees that the manager needed to help with this, no one could/would put me in touch with the manager directly and all 3 of my emails went unanswered. I finally disputed the charge through my credit card and happily recouped my expenses that way. It is unfortunate that this issue couldn't be resolved more easily and directly. I presented my concern and request thoughtfully and with appreciation for their efforts and the positive aspects of their lodging so as not to offend but, in the end, even the kindest and most careful approach was ignored. I know this hotel gets good ratings from other customers but, this particular experience aside, based on the furnishings and room quality that baffles me.

All fine for a short trip. Clean. Very friendly staff. They offer a parking lot for about 15 Euro a day. But the car should be small size. Coffee and drinks are good. Well located near the beach and the old city center. Pool just gets sun in the morning!

Hotel for every recommendation. In a great location near the center and even closer to the beach.Very clean, friendy and hepful staff. We are happy to return every year.El Faro is our second home.

Deb Danes

Very nice. Clean. The room was surprisingly large. Little kitchenette which was great. They leave packets of coffee etc and there is a shop close by. There is a liftto the rooms and a ramp up to reception so accessible for those with prams or a wheelchair.

Ana

I booked a room trough Booking and paid trough the app. We arrived late at night with a car and we were informed that they have no parking available which was unacceptable for us. They said they couldn’t refund our money and gave us a already prepared printed out map to a paid public parking near by. We left and ended up staying at a hotel near by. Booking is refusing to refund the money. On the app it says that parking is possible on site and that it’s not possible to reserve it, which with the fact that they already have a map to a public parking prepared in advance makes me question if there is a parking at the hotel at all. Also the hotel worker (who was the only one present, no manager to talk to) was completely clueless and unhelpful.Overall a very unpleasant experience and I would suggest to avoid at all costs!

The hotel is typically 🇪🇸 Spanish, and it is really nice, all very clean. Large room with walk-in shower all lovely and clean. I was on the 2nd floor, and this was fine, nice and quiet. I visited in October 2023, and I felt very safe there. There is also a small swimming pool. Access to the hotel is via a lift, which I wasn't sure about, but it was OK. Close to the bus 🚌 station, a short walk to the train station, and about 10 minutes to the beach ⛱️

John

Las Rampas is in the centre of Fuengirola. About a three minute walk from the beach. It has a very individual form of design which I find attractive. The reception staff are welcoming. The bedrooms vary in layout. The well equipped bathrooms are spotless. There is a hotel restaurant.I have never found cause to complain. My only wish would be for a tea and coffee tray to be provided in the bedrooms. In terms of prices, I think that these are realistic which is probably underlined by the number of repeat guests who choose to stay at the hotel.

Ilari Näckel

I've been staying a week in Hotel Las Rampas and I have been happy with my choice. Personal is super friendly, rooms are clean and ambience is nice. Of course it's a three star hotel, so it's not perfect. It's a good choice for budget conscious traveler on a perfect location. I can recommend this hotel warmly.

So close to being really good. The hotel is modern, clean and tidy but the service falls right behind the location. For example, there is no water in the rooms and if you call and ask for some, they won’t send it to your room, you have to go down to the bar to get it. Also their toilets don’t work properly. Sort this out and it’s 5* for everything

One of the Best hotels I visited. Amazing rooms, perfect service, hospitality and great staff! Really good food, perfect location. Special thanks to Antonio for being so sweet and helpful all the time, for special attention to our requests and warm welcome. I am sure I will stay here again and again. More than perfect hotel. Thank you 😊

soukaina loulidi

The rooms are nice and clean, the quality of service depends on which employee you find at the reception. We came several times (6 times but only because the location is good) and no particular attention was brought to us knowing we are loyal clients. Last time when we checked in, I specifically told the receptionist to put us on a room far away from the highway noise, he put us on the worst one (knowing they have plenty of empty rooms even if they are telling us the opposite), I suspected that they give the best rooms to European people, so I really sensed a kind of racism in this hotel. So a part from one nice lady who were always there at evenings and the buffet employees, all the staff is not worthy of a 4 stars. The bar close to the rooms is a NIGHTMARE, this definitely should be removed… it’s a small hotel not a big palace. The noises on the hallway should be PROHIBITED… that is the least they can do.If I am coming back is only for the location!

Olaf Dicker

Directly at the Highway and windows are low quality without any noise protection. Traffic noise all night long. This is Banus, so lots of loud Lambos. During our visit the pool was under renovation. So unusable and nice view on a construction site. Breakfast is good. Room cleaning was missed on 2 of 6 days. Fixed after calling the receiption but when you leave at 8 in the morning, come back at 2 pm then this is plenty of time to get the room cleaned. On the first day TV was not working. Was fixed. Long queue on check in,... In summary a 3 star hotel with lots of deficits. Staff was helpfull to note something positive.

3dollar

It was really impressive when I got in rooms were newly renovated , nice facet and deco but that’s it. There is no AC and that goes my 0 rest with many sleepless nights. I got one of the rooms near the entrance so sleeping with doors open is not an option. I asked the receptionist and apparently he gave us a bizarre look and say ‘it’s winter there is no AC.’ We asked for a fan and it did not come . when we asked the receptionist again. As we all expected msg was never logged that we requested a fan. Jus an Idea how bad the room was- we both had sore throat as it was so stuffy and dry. We had one soaking wet T-shirt to dry due to rain, it was completely dry within a hour. The corridor is so much cooler than the room. I reported on the app but it came back with a msg - ‘ your booking is confirmed’ and said issue resolved! The rooms we are disturbed by ppl pulling chairs at the corridor. This is something needs to be done. Breakfast gets hectic and there is no queue system. We waited for a table but others get one first: so we follow suit to jus find a seat and got a table ourself. But we were stopped by the staff and asked to wait and rectify room number. It felt horrible and to be honest is this Racist or double standard? Try doing that to other race Middle East or European! It goes the same for reception , they will not entertain who is in the queue , rather they always entertain ppl that barge in first or speaks louder as if there is an emergency! I dunno if that’s racist or they have double standard for people dressed in full branded cloths. Amenities- I travelled many parts of the world- being environmentally green friendly does not mean it should compromise your amenities like toothbrush, slippers, coffee machine, water. I think if you want to do something maybe please limit those ‘known guests’ to be considerate : buffet breakfast. It’s so sad to see food waste - plate of bread croissant, bowls of yoghurt untouched.

I read the reviews of this hotel before booking and was wondering if all the complaints mentioned before are justified or taken care of as the Hotel always respons to complaints with: "we are sorry to not have met your expectations, which we have noted to discuss with the relevant department".If someone noted something or discussed it, nothing has happened so far. I'm talking about basics like clean plates.... The plates in the restaurant that are dirty, especially on them bottom. One would think after so many complains that's an easy and quick fix but apparently it's not. If you grab a plate you feel the dirt underneath. I've read many people mentioning it and it's it's shocking nothing has happened until now. What bothered me most is that many things are broken even in the "new renovated" rooms. We got room 810 with a broken air-conditioning. On the next day we moved to a new room with a half working air-conditioning. I'm sure someone else gets the room without the functioning air-conditioning and it won't be repaired... Fingers crossed for the hotel that the new guests won't notice. As the air conditioning in our new room is sometimes working and sometimes not, we decided to switch on the fan on the sealing. This fan is not properly fixed to the sealing and started dancing around the room. A real hazard. After mentioning it at the reception the fan was not fixed, only completely switched off... That's a quick fix ;) it can get very hot in the room.Another fun surprise is to know when our neighbours one floor up take a shower as there is water coming down from the sealing in our bathroom.Furthermore it takes 24h to have the shower gel replaced when it's empty so it's wise to inform the reception on time as the cleaning service is not going to act proactive. It's only our 2nd day here and I'm not looking forward to discover what else is gonna break.Reviews about the food: I'm not talking about the bad quality anymore, as this was already mentioned by many other reviews. What bothers me most is the lack of vegetarian options. There are many signs on the buffet that suppose to highlight what's vegetarian and what's not but the sign does not correspond with the food below although today was an exception and there were a few options available. A salad with fish is not vegetarian and it would be nice to have a warm meal and not only salads. I'm sure this is also going to be discussed with the responsible department *wink* *wink* ;)There is one positive thing about this hotel and it's the really hard working staff at the reception and in the restaurant. Everyone is friendly and is trying to make the most of what they have to work with.

Jan Willem Plug

The hotel staff is really nice, friendly and helpful. All of them work hard and try to make things better, from the cleaning crew to the waiters and waitresses. Some staff at the reception did not react very well to complaints. It felt like they didn't take every remark seriously or even care. When my shower gel was depleted one day, I asked for a replacement but was told I had to wait until the next day at 9 am for the cleaning lady. The receptionist said there was nothing he could do. A few days later, I found out that behind the reception, there is a whole stock of shower gel for guests who use the downstairs shower! (The clashing lady did actually show up the first thing in the morning at 9sm to refill it. That was good!)Despite many people in the reviews here complaining about the food, it is really not that bad. The variety increased a lot during my stay, and the crew seemed to respond very fast to a complaint from a guest about the lack of vegetarian food and the incorrect descriptions. All descriptions were corrected. I also saw one waiter, Jose, check all the plates after a complaint that they were dirty. José greeted all guests and made us feel very welcome. Both José and his colleagues all work really hard. Daniel too is very welcoming when guests enter the dining room. During my stay, there was an Arabian food night, a vegetarian evening, and other specialities. They're is enough variety for most people. The deserts are also great, except for the ice cream.I did not use any of the facilities. So I can't day anything about the bar or pool etc.The rooms are okay. Nothing special. But fine. Our air conditioner was broken. The receptionist insisted there was no other room available. That turned out to be untrue, which was disappointing and seemed like a way to get rid of us. The ventilator on the ceiling was dangerously defect. Someone was sent to fix it but couldn't. Then we did get a new room. There were rooms available after all. Anyway, even though that was not a good experience, it was taken care of after some additional complaining. All in all the quality of the hotel is fine for what you pay for it. If you stay at this hotel while visiting Málaga, Torremolinos and other places this is a fine enough place to stay, have a good breakfast every day and get a varied dinner buffet. Enjoy your vacation!

For the price and area, I will give it 5 star even though many reviews disagree. The staff were all extremely polite and friendly. The breakfast was amazing with wide choice of fresh fruit, juice, fresh eggs, coffee, and so much more! A huge choice of food available but the coffee was great. The pool is not as big as it seems in the photos and it needs to have a heater installef because the pool gets V cold but still very very clean and great atmosphere for family and friends. There is NO GYM! It says there is a fitness center or indoor gyn but that is not true and they need to remove this! I understand this will not apply to everyone but still, stating you offer a service when you dont is annoying.Room views with the balconies were absolutely unbelievable and I have attached a picture below to show what the actual view was like! Seriously unreal and the rooms were neat and clean. The toilet itself had a design flow because it is right next to the sink so your knee takes a bit of a hit which I found really bad engineering BUT for the price this was an awesome place!Quite literally a 2min walk to the beach, that is no joke! Check the balcony view from the room and tell me that is not worth it!

Good location it’s right next to the boulevard. Nice rooms the beds are perfect to sleep on. Service is great for Example the bartenders are always nice and helpful, the reception is always open to help. But the most fun part was the activities with jairol many games and minidisco was 🤩 amazing.

I was very dissapointed with this hotel. I don't consider it offers 3* conditions. Although we announced we'll have an 8 months old baby with us, we were offered a room in the dinosaur building, which was old and very far from the one with the restaurant and the reception. And it didn't have an elevator, either, which made things complicated. But that wasn't the main issue. The furniture was old and there was a strong mold smell in the air. We asked for another room, but we encountered the same problem. After lots of discussions and the help of the tourism agency we bought the tickets from, we got a room in the reception building, which made things a lot easier for us. But the first 2 days were not nice at all. Also, the food was average to poor. I do not recommend this hotel.

My advice would be if your not all inclusive or need space don't visit this hotel!. Unfortunately the rooms despite being comfortable are as small as they come and ridiculous for a family of 4 to stay in.The area is lovely and quite with a quaint beach 8 mins walk away, however should you wish to taste the Spanish cuisine there are very few places to eat and nothing to shout about, you can however grab a local bus to Marbella centre for €1.20 where you will find everything you need. The staff in the hotel are friendly the cleaner's are especially good at there job, the facilities are OK however this is a very child friendly hotel that caters more for younger children and are sometimes more safety then fun! for example no inflatables in the pool, the life gaurd follows you close without a smile which is a little uncomfortable.Unfortunately the entertainment on site really sucks! That's of course when there's entertainment most evenings the hotel is dead.If you have English children wanting to join in on clubs through out the day they won't because of the language barrier it's a very Spanish hotel. All in all you get what you pay for its cheap, friendly and clean.

I would not recommend this hotel to those with a young family. The hotel will charge you £180 to upgrade to a room with a balcony which is outrageous when those with young children require a balcony to dry towels etc.. 99% of the guests are Spanish and they don't mix with English guests. The beach is private, and you are charged €6 - €12 each time for a sun lounge. The walk to the beach from the hotel is very far although the beach is amazing / stunning. There is NO rep, and so you no nothing about what the area has to offer, and none of the staff offer up any information on what there is to do. The country is very very expensive, and to travel by taxi, you are looking at £20 - £25 per trip, each way. Some taxi drivers will deliberately drive the longer way, to gain more money, and they will not take five passengers within their taxi, which means larger families are stuck in the hotel, or have to have two taxis or take the bus when going out. The bus service however is great, and you can get to most places within 20 / 30 mins. I witnessed an issue where a couple with three small children missed their transfer and flight, and the hotel did nothing to support them. I had to get involved and demanded they at least fed their children who where hungry, crying and distressed. At one point my friend offered to pay for their meals, but the manager changed his mind and allowed them to eat for free, after we reminded him that most of the food would be thrown in the bin. They had to stay for another two nights which they had to pay for. The staff and mangement kept saying, "its your problem not ours". which is a very unhelpful & unprofessional service to offer guests when they are in a crisis, it was late evening, and all you they required was somone to reassure them everything is going to be okay. They only seem to bend over backwards for their fellow Spanish guests. The positives are that the rooms are cleaned daily, the breakfast is excellent, and the beach is stunning..If you book.... DONT SAY YOU WHERE NOT WARNED!!!

We had a cozy room with a nice view. The food was also good. There were no gluten-free breads or cakes, but when I asked the waiters, they showed me what I can eat. They also had some gluten-free breads or cookies in store, so I could get when I asked for. Probably the only thing bothering us was, that the hotel is far from the civilization. I mean we were far from the center of Marbella, even by bus. Plus the highway was also too close to the hotel, and there was no place to go to get a drink in the evening. At least there was a supermarket nearby, and a pharmacy we did not need, but you know, just in case. :)

We couldn't stay there, because of corona. But they cancelled our reservation for free, even though it actually wasn't. Super nice and we really do appreciate it! And we will definitely stay there once travelling is possible again!

Great location, staff are friendly, and rooms are kept very clean. The kitchenette is tiny, no toaster or microwave and coffee maker is a presser style. You need to buy dish washing soap and a few wash cloths if staying for an extended time. The cafeteria/bar that opens in the evening offers an eclectic menu...just say we did not eat there often, however they offer nightly entertainment and it was busy so to each their own preferences. Pool is unheated, we visited in April and too cold to swim, unless you like a plunge pool. Grounds are nice and well maintained. Breakfast buffet is a little pricey as we eat light in the morning, but lots of choice. Overall a pretty good value in the area, nothing special. Oh and the wifi worked great and you pay for a lock for the safe.

Can't fault the place - quiet and peaceful at the time we were there but a little buzz too with people just enjoying the good weather. Clean, comfortable rooms (albeit a bit dark) and the shower was excellent. Bonus to have the kitchenette (fridge and freezer compartment). Kitchenette had everything except a kettle (only a coffee pot maker).

Lovely hotel with new bathroom. Pool is lovely and you hire a lounger for €3 with a lovely comfy mattress to go on the lounger. Right by the beach and close to so many restaurants and bars. Very clean. Also a shuttle service from the airport available which the hotel will boiok for you at no charge.

Liene Altroka

The hotel is nice, but old. Not modern at all. There was no soap for hands. There was only gel in the shower. The room is small, but has a balcony with a side view of the sea. Close to the sea. The beach is good. Breakfast was excellent.

Large Hotel / Apartments. Just spent 1 night here before flight out of Malaga.Professionally run set up. Room decent size with all that you would expect plus a small balcony.Modern bathroom , hot water. Comfortable chairs , table & ' fridge. 2 ring electric cooker & basic cooking utensils.Clientele mainly middle aged to older & therefore a fairly serene place to stay. Bar/ restaurant popular & well appointed.Service was generally good although our waiter was somewhat grumpy when I sent my Green Salad away as it contained Tuna & Eggs. It was , however , speedily rectified. No vegan options available. I know from previous experiemce that unless you go to a big city in Spain you are going to struggle to get a vegan meal but surely just 1 option would not hurt? The Hotel is well positioned very near the seafront & only a 15 minute taxi ride away from the airport.

My wife and I are currently staying in this hotel and if you are contemplating a visit there are a few things you should be aware of.Miles from anywhere and if you are unlucky you may have a forty minute wait for the Estapona bus.If you don't speak Spanish forget the TV.If using the shower you take your life in your hands as once wet the shower base and tiled bathroom floor become skating rinks, bath mats are provided but anyone with common sense would have stipulated a textured base and floor tiles. We would come back as the staff are great and the hotel is very clean but bring plenty bandages.

Just had a week here. Hotel was very clean, breakfast had plenty of choice, staff very friendly. Nice pool area, again spotless and very few people were using it at this time of year. Our room was a decent size and cleaned every day although it was very dark. The terrace….awful! See video! We wished we’d asked for an upgrade as you couldn’t sit out on it. Was only a few feet from the road, all that separated it was a broken fence covered in builders tarp which had ivy growing over it. Large dustbins at the other side of the road so lots of banging noises! Although the hotel is Diana Estapona, it’s nowhere near Estapona and the buses were a nightmare. The hotel is situated close to the A7 so lots of traffic noise. A few bars and restaurants nearby which were pretty good and a supermarket with plenty of choice. If you want to get around you need a car, but the main road was busy and fast. There is a beach accessible via a footbridge over the A7 but it’s not very attractive and you have to walk over stones to get in the sea.

Andrius Caplevas

Perfect and hospitable reception. Very nice rooms, quite good variety of food for breakfast. Noice from nearby road is quite disturbing, if you get the rooms to that side

Paula

Very unprofessional and rude old guy at the reception. Made us a way higher price then on booking (+20€) and when we said something he told us to leave and book through booking directly if we weren’t satisfied 😂 we have a really nice hotel now so thanks for that my friend

It's an ok apartment hotel with a good size room and bathroom. The ground floor is very noisy when the suitcases wheels pass by.

There was no armchair in the room and no place for luggage. We asked for an armchair and got a plastic garden chair :). Instead of double bed there were two separate beds. A couple of black outs (no electricity) during our 4 days' stay. Though, breakfast and location were great, as well as the attitude of the staff.

American Muscle UAE

They upgraded our room to a sea view room "Superior Double " and it was clean, spacious and nice. Looked like it was recently renovated. Very close to the beach and a reasonable distance to the city center by bus.The staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend this hotel. Would stay again on next trip to Malaga.

beckyearp

We really liked the hotel, they are renovating at the moment and we were informed, but chose to stay, it was a bit noisy in the mornings, more so at the front than the back of the hotel. Other than that it was great, nice little walk into town, renovated rooms are nice, pool area needs some TLC but I presume this will be done as part of the work. But for the price we paid, we were happy

xKalilahx

Very good hotel. Location is great (next to the beach) and excellent breakfast. Nice walk-in shower and balcony with beautiful view. Also a swimmingpool outside. I really recommend this hotel!

A little off the beaten path close to the beach. Food you only have a couple choices before catching a buss. The mountain view was nice. The traffic noise made it hard to take a nap.

The room was clean and comfortable but noisier than I expected, sounds were coming especially from the floor and bathroom. Breakfast was good, but coffee and soft drinks from the machine weren’t. The pool area is also nice. Airport and train c-1 station is very close.

Francis McCord

Hotel needs remodeling. Rooms small, twin beds. Shower head needs replacement. No fridge. Balcony requires repairs. Facility clean. Good meals but require warming in microwave. Not tourist locationClose to train stop. Runs every twenty minutes. Five minutes to Torremolinos. Staff helpful. Street parking only.

dimosth777

The hotel is very close to train station. The breakfast is lavish. The pool is very clean. But the rooms need a renovation immediately!

Booked just for one night before our flight. After reading all bad reviews, my husband and I decided to eat in the city and didn't expect to even find any food after 8PM. We checked in after 8:30PM and decided to check dinner buffet. To our surprise there were plenty of food and everything tasted good. Some new dishes were brought in and other dishes were restocked. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. Nice balcony. Only negative thing was sound isolation. It wasn't terrible, as we couldn't hear people talking, but (probably) some water pipes were just behind our beds, and running water sound was so intense, even earplugs didn't help.

Nice food, Frank in the bar is a very nice person - great customer service he should get a promotion! Beach is 10-15 mins walk. Good value I'll be back!!

Fantastic place to stay for anyone, great for children. Beautiful interior decoration. Great pool area. Great self catering rooms. Fantastic customer service. Even offered to prepare the sofa bed for my children, as we were arriving late. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay 😊

Location of this apartment block is good. Close to beach and lots of local bars, restaurants and mini market type shops. With a really good one on site reasonable prices,With the usual supply of holiday fodder.Balcony had sun in the afternoon. Beware of neighbours as you can here all sorts throughout the building. Sound proofing is non existent. Had quite a few disturbed nights. Wacky BackY smokers on the balcony next to us!!Just a side note: we privately rented through a private owner and not through the hotel itself! So other rooms my have been better. The pool area was great and the surrounding gardens lovely. Very well maintained grounds. Be aware the Sunbed’s around the pool are not free, €5 per bed per day (again disappointing as this was not mentioned at the time of booking)The apartment itself was “ok” a bit scruffy around the edges and far from my kind of clean! The mishmash of utensils and cooking equipment (which I also had to clean) and the lack of any cleaning product’s was disappointing. I never used the oven as this was just one step too far for me! Toilet seat was loose on one side and constantly leaked water into the bowl. Bed was comfortable but didn’t have a mattress protector so had to double up on the sheets! We booked for 6 weeks but I wouldn’t book again.Benelmadena is lovely and we have booked to return in September for 25 days staying closer to the Marina.I❤️Benelmadena

Wonderful place & location-only reason not 5 stars because it’s “off-season” so sadly pools, restaurant, gift shop not open right now, but I can tell this is a Fabulous place for a holiday another time! Paloma Park a delight, view from balcony of the Sea beautiful…lots of restaurants & shops up & down the main Av Antonio Machado with in Walking distance & Beach walk very cool!

Lana A LaBonte

Antonio greeted me & was very helpful. I had to send passport information via WhatsApp. It was economical but the room could use some updating. The hot water ran out.The bathroom had a strange setup where the toilet paper was across away from the toilet, no towel rack, & there was no way to close off the shower. The bed felt unsanitary. The sheets were old & didn’t feel clean.I only stayed one night so it was sufficient. The inside gated parking was completely full & I had to park outside but was safe enough.I can only imagine how it must be during the height of the seasonal tourism.I had no need for the pool & it appeared to be a great place for youth or families with children.

Eugen Malatov

The apartments are nice and ok, but the reception and service is aweful. You arrive and nothing works (wifi, tv, ...). The heater/AC explanation missing. During the weekend there is only an emergency phone, you are expected to call.
